  • Restoration Man: George Clarke restores old homes around the UK. (Prime)
  • Restoration Home: Caroline Quentin (of Blue Murder and Jonathan Creek) follows the restoration of old UK homes along with research assistants who look into each home’s history.
  • Shetland: Set in the far reaches of the Shetland Islands. Great mysteries and great scenery. Stars Douglas Henshall.
  • Murdoch Mysteries: Long-running Canadian mystery series that mixes humor and history. 
  • BrokenWood Mysteries: New Zeland’s answer to Midsomer with a fun cast and great music. Stars Neill Rea
  • Shakespeare and Hathaway: A newcomer that mixes comedy and mystery. 
  • Queens Of Mystery: Contemporary mystery with a great cast. A young detective solves crimes with the help of her eccentric aunts. 
Movies
  • Grabbers: Richard Coyle and Russell Tovey star in this comedy about aliens invading a small coastal town. It’s like candy for your brain.
  • The Hippopotamus: Based on a book by Stephen Frye and starring Roger Allum. Thoughtful and beautiful.
  • The Prestige: Stars David Bowie as Nikola Tesla. ‘Nuff said!
  • Scars of Dracula: Its referenced in the show so many times you should have a look.
  • Wicker Man: The original 1973 movie with Christopher Lee and Edward Woodward.
